Obverse description The national coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a shield divided by a chevron and bearing two sailing ships in the base, flanked by a Scarlet Ibis as dexter supporter and a Hummingbird as sinister supporter, both standing on a grassy mount. Above the shield rises a crest comprising a ship's wheel surmounted by a palm tree, with two stylised birds flanking it. A scroll in the lower field bears the national motto as the legend, reading TOGETHER WE ASPIRE TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE. The Franklin Mint mintmark 'F' appears at the bottom of the field below the scroll.
