| Obverse description | Right-facing draped and crowned effigy of King Edward VII, engraved by George William de Saulles, with the Imperial State Crown prominently rendered above the monarch's bare neck and robed shoulders. The king's mature portrait features a short beard and finely detailed facial features in high relief. A decorative collar with floral ornaments is visible at the base of the bust. The circumferential legend reads EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR, arranged along the inner border, which is defined by a continuous denticular rim. |
