| Obverse description | Central field depicts a detailed battle scene commemorating the Battle of Jersey, showing a group of soldiers advancing in formation alongside a field cannon, with two large flags unfurling above them. The composition references the heroic defense of Jersey in 1781. Six small heraldic animal motifs are evenly distributed around the periphery of the field. The multilingual legend PRUEBA · TRIAL · ESSAI · PROBE arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with the date 2003 inscribed in the left field and the engraver's mark G appearing to the right of the central scene. The issuer name JERSEY is inscribed along the lower border. |
