Obverse description Draped bust of George Washington facing right, rendered in high relief with flowing hair tied at the nape. The patriotic motto IN GOD WE TRUST arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering, separated by centrally placed dots. The date 1866 is positioned in the lower exergue, with a finely beaded border encircling the entire design.
