Obverse description A genuine Spanish Republic 5 céntimos postage stamp, depicting the right-facing bust of Francisco Pi i Margall within an arched frame adorned with laurel branches, affixed to the cardboard disc. The legend PI MARGALL appears in a tablet at the top of the stamp design, while REPÚBLICA ESPAÑOLA arches prominently across the lower portion, with CORREOS, the denomination 5, and CÉNTIMOS arranged below. The imprint FCA. NACIONAL DE MONEDA Y TIMBRE appears at the base of the stamp in small lettering. The perforated white border of the stamp is visible against the plain cardboard surround.
