Monzón, a town in Huesca province, was among hundreds of Aragonese communities that collectivized during the Spanish Civil War under anarchist and CNT influence. Local councils — colectividades — frequently issued their own fractional paper when Republican-era coin disappeared from circulation almost immediately after July 1936, hoarded or melted down. These emergency pieces were printed locally, often on whatever stock was available, and their validity rarely extended beyond the issuing municipality.
The Gari reference remains incomplete for this piece, suggesting it either went unrecorded in the main corpus or exists in too few documented examples to have been fully catalogued.
