Obverse description Laureate and draped effigy of Queen Isabella II facing right, her hair arranged in long flowing waves gathered into a braided chignon at the nape, bound with a ribbon. The portrait is rendered in high relief within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential legend arcs around the upper field, with the date 1865 positioned in the lower exergual area flanked by two small six-pointed stars.
