| Obverse description | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Norodom I occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with naturalistically styled hair. The circular legend NORODOM I ROI DU CAMBODGE arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1860 appears in the lower exergual area. The engraver's name C.WURDEN is inscribed at the base of the bust. The entire design is framed by a continuous border of fine beads. |

| Reverse description | Central device depicting the Royal Arms of Cambodia: a tiered pagoda-style stupa surmounted by radiating rays of glory, set upon a horizontally lined shield encircled by a laurel wreath. Flanking the central arms are two crossed lances or staffs with decorative finials. Khmer script legend encircles the upper portion of the design, while the French denomination legend CINQ CENTIMES appears in the lower arc, interrupted by two raised dots as separators. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border. |
