Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription naming the regent Muhammad al-Hadi, Bey of Tunis, the denomination of 5 centimes, and the Hijri date 1321. The inscription is flanked on either side by a stylized olive or palm frond, rendered in low relief. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border, with a milled outer rim encircling the coin.
