| Obverse description | Central field features the bold monogram 'RF' (République Française) rendered in incuse relief, flanked by decorative oak branches forming a wreath around the central hole. A small Phrygian cap appears above the monogram at the top of the field. The engraver's signature 'EM LINDAUER' is inscribed at the base of the design, below the wreath. The coin's outer border is defined by a rope-style milled rim. The overall design is executed in the Art Nouveau-influenced style characteristic of Lindauer's work for the Third Republic. |
