Obverse description Central hole surrounded by the royal cipher of King Albert I, rendered as an interlaced crowned 'A' monogram. A circular legend in Dutch reads 'KONINKRIJK BELGIË' (Kingdom of Belgium), flanking the monogram. The date appears below the central hole, with two five-pointed stars separating the legend elements. The design is plain and utilitarian in style, typical of Belgian holed coinage of the interwar period.
