Obverse description The Mexican national arms occupy the central field, depicting a displayed eagle perched atop a cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, devouring a serpent in its beak, with laurel and oak branches spread below. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA curves along the upper periphery, and the date 1915 appears in the lower field below the beaded circle, all within an outer beaded border.
