Obverse description The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a llama on a hillside landscape within a shield, surmounted by an Andean condor with spread wings above a rising sun. The shield is flanked by crossed cannons, rifles, and axes with laurel and palm branches, and the base features a broad decorative scroll. A ring of nine five-pointed stars encircles the lower portion of the design within the border. The peripheral legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA arcs across the upper field, set within a finely toothed beaded border.
