Obverse description The Peruvian national arms, comprising a quartered shield with vicuña, cinchona tree, and cornucopia, surmounted by a civic wreath of laurel and palm branches, occupies the central field. The denomination numeral '5' appears prominently below the arms, with the word 'CENTAVOS' inscribed beneath it in the lower field.
