Additional information

Cacahuatepec was one of several municipalities in Guerrero authorized to produce emergency copper coinage during the Mexican Revolution, when federal currency had collapsed in credibility and local commanders needed functional money to pay troops and suppliers. These issues were struck under Revolutionary authority rather than any central mint, which accounts for the crude workmanship found across the series. KM#648 is among the more localized of the Guerrero emissions — Cacahuatepec itself is a small river-valley town, and its issues circulated within a genuinely constrained geographic range.
