| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Honduras occupies the central field, depicting an oval escutcheon with a landscape featuring mountains, a mine entrance, and rising sun, surmounted by a Mayan pyramid and flanked by a quiver of arrows and tropical trees. The shield is encircled by an oval cartouche bearing the legend HONDURAS LIBRE SOBERANA E INDEPENDIENTE.
