| Obverse description | Egg-shaped oval flan featuring a right-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III in high relief at centre, rendered in a detailed portrait style. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the left border, while 5 CEDIS, 1 oz, 2026, Ag 999 follow the right curve of the coin. The inscription REPUBLIC OF GHANA runs along the lower arc. A symmetrically arranged composition features two stylised white horses facing each other at centre, flanked by pairs of white birds with coloured wing accents. A central vertical flowering tree motif rises from between the horses, bearing a large eight-pointed star rosette in red, white, and purple at its heart. The deep teal-green background field is densely decorated with stylised floral sprays, berries, and leaf motifs in red, white, grey, and purple, in a manner characteristic of Ukrainian pysanka Easter egg ornamentation. |
