| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the papal arms of Benedict XIV, depicted as a quartered heraldic shield bearing the Lambertini family coat of arms. The shield is surmounted by the papal tiara (triregnum) and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter, all rendered in a Baroque decorative style. The composition is framed by an elaborate foliate and scroll mantling that fills the field to the inner border. A beaded inner border and a milled outer rim encircle the entire design. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bold, centrally placed denomination inscription arranged in four lines across the field: CINQVE / BOLOGNI / NI / (date), the whole surrounded by an ornate Baroque cartouche of interlaced foliate scrolls and floral tendrils. The inscription identifies the coin as five Bolognini and includes the year of issue at the base of the cartouche. A beaded inner border and a milled outer rim complete the design, consistent with the civic coinage tradition of the Bologna mint under papal authority. |
