| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by an intaglio portrait of poet Adela Zamudio at right, her name inscribed below in capital letters. At upper left, the bank title BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA appears in bold letterpress, with the denomination CINCO BOLIVIANOS rendered in large intaglio lettering at centre over a multicolour guilloche underprint incorporating the Bolivian coat of arms. The serial number and series letter appear twice, and two facsimile signatures are printed below the central vignette, captioned PRESIDENTE BCB and GERENTE GENERAL BCB respectively. |
