Comments

The Banco de la Nación Boliviana was established by law in 1911, replacing the earlier system of competing private note-issuing banks — this 5 Bolivianos belongs to the inaugural series of that state institution. The sheer proliferation of signature combinations documented for P#105 is itself telling: at least seventeen distinct signing configurations across single-letter, double-letter, and color-differentiated series, spanning multiple administrations and cashiers. That volume reflects years of continuous issue, not a short print run.

The shift from black to red series letters at QQ–SS, under the Aguirre–Whitaker–Perou signing, almost certainly marks a late reissue phase rather than a fresh authorization.
