| Obverse description | The national emblem of Oman occupies the central field, depicting two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid by a traditional khanjar belt, all surmounted by a royal crown. The dual Hijri and Gregorian dates (١٤١١هـ / ١٩٩٠م) flank the emblem horizontally at centre. The Arabic legend 'سلطنة عمان' (Sultanate of Oman) arcs across the upper field, while the denomination '٥ بيسة' (5 Baisa) appears below the emblem, and the issuing authority 'البنك المركزي العماني' (Central Bank of Oman) is inscribed along the lower legend.
