Obverse description Facing left truncated bust of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), depicted in civilian dress with spectacles and an ornately embroidered collar, rendered in high relief with fine detail. The king's portrait occupies the central field, with the royal name inscription in Thai script arching along the left and right periphery. The legend reads 'ภูมิพลอดุลยเดช รัชกาลที่๙' (Bhumibol Adulyadej, King Rama IX), flanking the effigy on both sides. The overall portrait style is naturalistic and dignified, consistent with official Royal Thai Mint coinage of the late 20th century.
