Obverse description Uniformed effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) facing forward, wearing spectacles and a elaborately embroidered military tunic with decorations at the collar. The portrait is rendered in moderate relief and occupies the central field. A circular Thai-script legend surrounds the effigy along the rim, and the regnal designation 'รัชกาลที่ ๙' (Rama IX) appears in the lower field beneath the bust.
