| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in shades of purple and pink on a finely guilloche-patterned background. At centre, the provincial coat of arms of Tucuman is flanked by two ornamental rosettes, with the denomination numeral '5' rendered in a large intaglio-style vignette at right. Two facsimile signatures appear below the coat of arms, identified by the titles MINISTRO DE ECONOMIA and GOBERNADOR. A boxed legend at the foot of the note carries a patriotic quotation attributed to Fernando Riera, dated 1 April 1985. |
