Obverse description Three stylised pomegranates (rimonim) rendered in high relief occupy the central field, their characteristic calyx crowns clearly visible at top and bottom. The motif is presented in a bold, modernist artistic style evoking ancient Israelite coinage. To the left of the pomegranates, the country name appears in Arabic script reading vertically, while along the lower portion of the field the Hebrew legend appears in large block characters. The overall composition is enclosed within the coin's raised rim.
