Obverse description The central field displays the quartered Hungarian royal coat of arms — featuring the traditional Árpád stripes on the dexter side and the apostolic double cross on a triple-hill base on the sinister side — surmounted by the Hungarian Holy Crown. The shield is rendered in fine relief with crisp heraldic detail. A circular Latin legend reads MAGYAR KIRÁLYI VÁLTÓ PÉNZ around the periphery, and the entire design is enclosed within a dentilated border.
