The issuer's name WESTFÄLISCHE EISEN- UND DRAHTWERKE A.-G. runs in a ruled border at both the top and bottom of the note, while the central text in Fraktur script reads Fünf Millionen Mark over a statement of redemption conditions referencing the Dresdner Bank, Langendreer, dated 25.
