| Obverse description | Dark green and pale ochre note with an elaborate guilloche border framing the entire face. The issuer title "Bayerische Staatsbank" appears in Gothic blackletter script at the top within a decorative header panel, with a large watermark-style underprint reading "5 Millionen Mark" visible as a pale green medallion at right. The denomination "Fünf Millionen Mark" is rendered in large Gothic script at centre, with the place and date "München, den 1.
