| Obverse description | Green guilloche underprint on the original 500 Mark Gutschein of the Badische Anilin- & Soda-Fabrik, with the issuer's name in Gothic blackletter across the top and the denomination 'Fünfhundert Mark' in large ornate script at centre. Two diagonal blue overprint bands reading 'Fünf Millionen Mark' revalue the note to 5,000,000 Mark, dated 15 October 1923, with two manuscript signatures of company officials at lower centre. The validity date 'Er ist gültig bis 31. Oktober 1923' appears in blue letterpress along the bottom margin, with the printer's imprint 'Gebr. Parcus, München' below. |
