| Obverse description | Pink-tinted notgeld on plain paper with a pale pink ground carrying a large overprinted underprint legend "KREIS CLEVE" in block letters. The denomination "Fünf Millionen Mark" is set in bold letterpress across the upper-centre field, with the issuer title "Kreis Cleve." above and a handstamped serial number upper right. The lower portion carries a circular official seal of the Kreis-Ausschuss des Kreises Cleve bearing a heraldic eagle, flanked by the place and date "Cleve, den 20. August 1923" to the left and the facsimile signature of the Kreisdeputierte acting for the Landrat to the right. |
