| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark brown on an orange-brown floral guilloche underprint. The heading reads "Notgeld der Stadt Oberhausen-Rhlb." in Gothic script at the top, with the denomination "Fünf Millionen Mark" in large blackletter type below. Two circular guilloche medallions bearing the numeral "5.000.000" flank a central text block stating the conditions of acceptance by municipal cashiers in Oberhausen, dated 10. August 1923, with a signature on behalf of the Oberbürgermeister; the denomination "5 Millionen Mark" is additionally printed vertically in large Gothic letters along the right margin. |
