| Obverse description | The upper portion of the note is dominated by a large heraldic vignette in black and ochre, centred on a shield bearing an eagle, flanked by elaborate foliate and scrollwork ornaments in the Art Nouveau style. Below, the denomination "Fünf Millionen Mark" is rendered in bold Fraktur script against a green guilloche underprint, followed by the issuing authority text and the town name "Rathenow" in a decorative panel. The date, serial number, and a manuscript signature of the Magistrat appear in the lower register, with an invalidation clause at the foot within a decorative border. |
