| Obverse description | Typeset notgeld note printed in black on cream paper within a red rectangular border, with the city arms of Neumarkt — a red shield bearing a golden eagle — at the upper left. The large denomination legend 'Mark Fünf Millionen' dominates the upper centre in bold blackletter script, with the value '5 000 000 Mark' repeated in the left and right margins.
