The Republic of Serbian Krajina was an unrecognized breakaway state in Croatian territory, and its currency was never accepted outside the territory it controlled — which itself shrank continuously under military pressure. By 1993, inflation in the broader Yugoslav successor economies had turned catastrophic, and the Krajina authorities were issuing denominations in the millions simply to keep pace. This note was printed in Belgrade at ZIN, the same facility producing Yugoslav federal issues at the time, a logistical arrangement that underscores just how dependent the RSK was on Serbian state infrastructure.

The entire RSK currency series was rendered obsolete when Croatian forces retook the Krajina in August 1995 during Operation Storm.
