| Obverse description | Printed in typographic letterpress on cream paper with a yellow-ochre guilloche underprint and a dense diamond-pattern trellis border, the face carries the Gothic-script denomination "Fünf Milliarden Mark" in the upper central field beneath the heading "Reichsbanknote", with a serial number in green at upper right and a large numeral "5" in lilac underprint enclosed in a left-side panel flanked by a vertical anti-counterfeiting warning in rotated letterpress. The central text block presents the redemption clause dated "Berlin, den 10. September 1923", above the legend "Reichsbankdirektorium" and five facsimile manuscript signatures, each pair flanked by circular Reichsbank eagle seals. |
