| Obverse description | Typeset Notgeld voucher on pale yellow paper, enclosed within an ornate letterpress border of scrolling foliate and geometric motifs. The denomination "Fünf Milliarden Mark" is set in large Gothic blackletter script at centre, above a five-line liability text in Fraktur pledging the Stadtgemeinde Frankenstein and noting Reichsbank acceptance, dated "Frankenstein i. Schl., den 30. Oktober 1923". A faint circular underprint vignette appears behind the central text, with series letter and serial number at lower left and a manuscript signature of the Magistrat at lower right. |
