| Obverse description | Central field depicts a recumbent lamb facing left, positioned above a cylindrical oil can or drum. Flanking the central devices are a cotton plant branch to the left and a leafy plant sprig to the right. The legend 'CROISSANCE N°1' appears in the field to the right of the lamb. The circular brass outer ring bears the inscription '* 4500 CFA * AFRIQUE CENTRALE * REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD *' around the upper portion, with the date '2005' prominently displayed along the lower arc of the ring, and the mintmaster initials 'AM' in the lower field. |
