| Obverse description | Central copper-nickel field depicts an outline map of Gabon with a large teardrop or oil-drop motif superimposed at centre. The surrounding brass ring bears the circular legend '* 4500 CFA * AFRIQUE CENTRALE * REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE *' along the upper periphery. Below the map, within the field, the dedication inscription reads 'S.E. OMAR BONGO ONDIMBA / STABILITE 1967 - 2005', with the mintmaster initials 'AM' beneath. The date '2005' appears in large stylised numerals across the lower portion of the brass ring. |

The "3 Africa" issues were a short-lived pan-African promotional series released by several BEAC member states in the mid-2000s, intended to circulate across the franc zone as a regional unity token. Gabon's participation produced some of the lowest-distributed examples in the set. The 4500 CFA denomination is deliberately non-functional — no standard pricing structure in the region corresponded to it — making these pieces effectively commemorative from the moment of issue.
