Reverse description Neptune standing facing, nude but for a cloak, his right foot raised upon a prow or rock, holding a small dolphin in his right hand and a vertical trident in his left. The senatorial authority mark S - C (Senatus Consulto) is disposed in the field, S to the left and C to the right of the deity, as visible on the coin. The figure is rendered in a bold, high-relief style consistent with Augustan-era bronze coinage.
