Reverse description Central field bears the large numeral '4' in the upper portion, with the denomination legend 'REIS' inscribed in bold letters beneath, occupying the lower half of the field. The rim is encircled by a border of fine milled or toothed denticles, clearly visible around the entire periphery. The design is stark and utilitarian, consistent with the colonial copper coinage produced at the Goa mint under João VI.
