Obverse descriptionThe obverse of the original coin shows the crowned shield of Felipe V, with the barracks of Castile, Leon, Granada, Aragon, Sicily, Austria, old and modern Burgundy, Brabant, Flanders and Tyrol, and the escutcheon of the House of Bourbon in the center. The Golden Fleece surrounds the shield, with the Cross of the Order of the Holy Spirit, on the necklace. In a circular sense, the legend PHILIPPUS.V.DEI.GRA (Gratia).
