| Obverse description | A vignette of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Father of the Nation, is rendered in intaglio at centre-left, raised arm in a characteristic oratorical gesture against a multicolour guilloche underprint in rose and cream tones. At upper left, an ornate cartouche carries the inscription '40th Victory Anniversary of Bangladesh', while the issuer title 'বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক' appears in a decorative panel at upper centre. The National Monument of Savar is faintly visible at right, and the Governor's facsimile signature with the Bengali legend 'গভর্নর' appears at centre-right below the denomination inscription. |
