| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded effigy of Emperor Pedro II facing right, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and flowing beard. The truncation of the bust is set within an incuse square panel, with the engraver's initials E.S.R.C. inscribed below. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the effigy by a beaded inner border. The date is placed at the bottom of the field between two ornamental stops. |
