Obverse description Printed in green on cream paper, the obverse presents a central vignette of the village of Bischofstetten with its church and surrounding landscape, flanked on either side by allegorical peasant figures in a folk-art style. The denomination '40' appears in bold numerals at centre below the vignette, bracketed by the inscription 'HELLER' on both sides, with the title 'Kassenschein der Gemeinde Bischofstetten' arching above. A multi-line text block below states the terms of issue, the total value authorised, the redemption deadline, and carries the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister Riesinger, all enclosed within a decorative guilloche border.
