| Reverse description | The reverse consists of a bracteate encasement holding a Spanish 40 céntimos postage stamp from the Francisco Franco series, engraved by Sánchez Toda, depicting a left-facing portrait of Franco alongside the Spanish coat of arms. The denomination '40 CTS' appears at the bottom of the stamp, with 'ESPAÑA CORREOS' at the top and 'SANCHEZ TODA' in the lower margin. The aluminium rim is crimped over the stamp to secure it in place. |
