Reverse description A full-length figure of a Swiss soldier in Renaissance-era mercenary costume, comprising plumed hat, slashed doublet, and hose, stands facing slightly left. He rests his left hand on a large heraldic shield inscribed XIX CANT., while his right hand bears a halberd. The denomination 40. BATZ appears in the exergue below a ground line, and the legend CONFEDERATION SUISSE arcs around the upper field.
