| Obverse description | A spread eagle displayed, facing left, with wings raised, perched atop a fasces flanked by crossed thunderbolts, all set within a wreath composed of oak and laurel branches tied at the apex. The engraver's initials N.C. and the mint mark R appear in the lower field beneath the fasces. The surrounding legend DIO E POPOLO is inscribed vertically on either side of the central device, reading along the inner border. The entire design is enclosed within a finely beaded outer border and reflects the neoclassical engraving style of Niccolò Cerbara. |
