| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Ferdinand I facing left, occupying the central field. The royal effigy is rendered in a classical style with the crown visible atop the head. A continuous Latin legend runs along the periphery, interrupted at the base of the bust, reading FERD.I.D.G.REGNI SICILIARUM ET HIER·REX., identifying the monarch as Ferdinand I, by the grace of God King of the Two Sicilies and Jerusalem. The coin shows heavy circulation wear consistent with its copper composition. |
