| Reverse description | The allegorical figure of Fortuna stands atop a globe in the center of the field, her drapery billowing outward in dynamic motion, holding a sail or veil above her head to indicate the capricious nature of fortune. She is depicted in high relief against a plain field, balanced upon a crowned heraldic eagle at the base of the globe. The surrounding circular legend reads in German, completing the moral admonition begun on the obverse. The date ANNO 1624 appears within the outer legend, and the entire design is enclosed by a plain raised rim with a finely milled border. |
