| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of General Manuel Isidoro Belzú facing left, with short hair and a beard, rendered in moderate relief with a somewhat crude, hand-worked style characteristic of hammered medallic pieces. The effigy occupies the central field, surrounded by a circular legend. The date 1850 and the initials M.Y. appear at the base of the bust. A suspension hole is pierced at the top of the flan, indicating later use as a pendant. |
